The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Office of Recruitment has begun planning for its biggest event of the year.

The showcase for Northwestern will be at 9 a.m. on Nov. 8 in Percefull Fieldhouse.

Paige Fischer , director of the Office of Recruitment, said over the next two months her office will be visiting high schools all over northwest Oklahoma.  NWOSU representatives will be at high schools answering students’ questions and hopefully getting them interested in the school.”

Ranger Preview Day is intended to show students what Northwestern is all about. The Office of Recruitment shows students around campus and familiarizes them with what could be their future home.

“It’s a day designed just for (prospective students),” Fischer said.  “It’s an opportunity for you to get to know the university, tour campus, meet with faculty and student organizations, and get your questions answered first-hand. Plus, you will receive a $600 scholarship just for attending.”

All high school seniors are eligible to attend Ranger Preview.

Interested student will have a chance to talk to numerous people from campus. University President Janet Cunningham will be in attendance.  Current students, faculty and staff will be in attendance as well. Campus clubs and organizations will be there to give information and answer questions. Campus tours and housing tours will be available. After all the informative material is done there will be a free catered lunch for attendees. There also will be free football tickets available for the game following lunch. Parents are invited as well.
